What is the customer referral program?

With Sunnova’s Customer Referral Program, Sunnova customers can earn rewards for referring their friends to go solar or to add battery storage to an existing home solar system.1 Rewards are issued as a Visa Prepaid Reward Card and will be mailed to the customer within 8 weeks after the referred system is placed in service.2 There is no cap to the number of referral incentives a Sunnova customer can receive, but if the amount exceeds $599 within any calendar year, customers must complete and submit a W9 form.3 To learn more about our customer referral program and the latest referral offers Click here.

How do I submit a referral?

To submit a new referral, Sunnova customers can login to their Sunnova Customer Portal account, navigate to the Referrals tab, and complete the online referral form.

3 In the event the referral incentive exceeds $599 within any calendar year, Sunnova’s obligation to issue the reward shall be conditioned upon receipt of, from customer, any required tax documentation necessary to issue the 1099 which will be handled by Sunnova’s designated agent, depending on the issuer.
